That's a Wrap! 2020 Food Drive

That's a wrap! Our 2020 food drive was a huge success. Thank you to all the local businesses who helped support our drive and exceed our goal for food donations. We collected and donated 2,133 lbs of food to a local food pantry. Every food donation, gift card and cash donation made a huge difference within our community. We look forward to doing this again 2021!

Adopting a Family for the Holidays

Each year we take the time to give back to our community and adopt a family for the holidays. We hope these gifts helped make a family's holiday even more special. Our franchise truly believes in giving back to our community and this is just a small way we can help those less fortunate.

Our Annual Food Drive

Our franchise has been hosting a food drive for the past 14 years at our Annual Holiday Movie Event. Unfortunately, due to Covid -19, we were unable to host our movie event and food drive which was scheduled for 11/28, and always the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  Our movie event brings in over 400 customers and their families; we pay for their admission to the movie and in turn ask for food donations.  This is a great tradition and a great event. Again, due to Covid and state restrictions, we were unable to host this event but wanted to still find a way to collect food donations to give back to our community. We knew this year, more than ever, people in our community needed help.   As of today, November 13th we have collected 1262 lbs of food and will continue to  collect through November.  A big thank you to all the businesses who are participating making this already a successful event.

Networking at Sebago Brewing Company

We can't wait until our next Happy Hour networking event takes place. Not sure when that will be but we enjoy our networking Happy Hours and the feedback from those who attend feel the same way.  It's amazing the connections made during these events. We support our local breweries in the Greater Portland area and this was just one of our great events. This picture was taken at Sebago Brewing Company on February 27, 2020 just a couple weeks before restrictions were put in place.

Trivia Night at Smitty's Cinema in Windham

What a great turnover for Trivia Night benefiting The Backpack Program for Windham/Raymond school district. The RSU #14 backpack program supplies a total of 152 backpacks to students at Raymond Elementary School, Manchester School and Windham Primary School during the school year.  The bags contain food items that are kid friendly, nutritious and lightweight enough for them to carry home in their backpacks.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support this local non-profit. A huge thanks to the Windham Business Exchange for coordinating. We look forward to helping out again.

A big THANKS to our major sponsors, holes sponsors, donations from local businesses, attendees and of course the SERVPRO of Maine locations. Our 13th year was our best year yet as we raised a record high of $16,700.

2019 Employee Appreciation BBQ & Cornhole Tournament

On June 18, 2019 we had our annual Employee Appreciation BBQ and Cornhole Tourney. Our owner, Chef Jared Lamey cooked up steaks and chicken for his employees to say thank you!! We finished the day off with a very competitive cornhole tourney. Congrats to Alan and Jim for being this years cornhole champs!

Networking Afterhours at SERVPRO of Portland

On June 13, 2019 we invited several businesses within our networking associations to stop by our location and check out our space. With an additional warehouse added on in 2017 and newly renovated office space we were happy to host and provide tours to see just how we operate.  We had a great turnout and will be looking to host another in the Fall of 2019.

American Red Cross - 2017 Check Presentation

The SERVPRO of Maine franchises were thrilled to present a check to the American Red Cross of Maine for $11,000.  The money was raised at our annual Appreciation Day and Golf Event in September. This money will help Maine families who are affected by disaster.

Our Best Year Yet... Giving Back to the American Red Cross of Maine

What a year! Our 9th Annual Golf Event and Appreciation Day was another great success. In early November, the SERVPRO of Maine Franchises presented a check to the American Red Cross of Maine to help with their Disaster Relief Fund. All money that is raised at our event stays in Maine and helps those families that are affected by disaster. Thank you to all our sponsors, merchant donors, attendees and SERVPRO team for making our 2016 a fun and successful event.

7th Annual Appreciation Day

Santa for a Senior Program

Our Marketing Manager Holly Merrill volunteered this past holiday season to deliver Christmas presents to local senior citizens who are less fortunate during the holiday season. SERVPRO of Portland also adopted a senior and provided gifts to that special person. It made the holidays that much brighter. A big thanks to one of the local businesses in Gorham, Home Instead Senior Care for organizing such a heart warming program.

Volunteering for the Home Fire Preparedness Campaign

On July 9, 2016 our Franchise owner Jared Lamey, and employees Holly Merrill and Kelly Overlock and Kelly’s daughter Taylor volunteered their time to the American Red Cross of Maine for the Home Fire Preparedness event in Portland.  They along with 30 other volunteers and the Portland Fire Department installed smoke detectors in the Riverton neighborhood in Portland. The purpose of the Home Fire Preparedness Campaign is to encourage homeowners to check or install working smoke alarms in their homes. The volunteers also helped develop an emergency escape plan for the homeowners. This five-year initiative to help reduce deaths and injuries from home fires by 25 percent. Our SERVPRO team visited several homes during the day and installed 30 smoke detectors that day.
